INGREDIENTS WE USE:
Olive oil is known for its effective anti-aging properties. Because it’s so nourishing, it can replenish the oils lost by the skin as we get older, giving the complexion a smoother, plumped-up appearance and minimizing wrinkles. In soap making, Olive Oil is used as an emollient that gives a moisturized feel to the soap .Olive oil is imported generally from Spain and the European region.
Sunflower oil is both wonderful for sensitive skin and nourishing. This oil has a variety of vitamins and nutrients that help prevent skin breakouts. Sunflower oil is high in healthy, fatty acids and vitamins that help prevent premature skin aging without clogging pores. And the Linoleic Acid and Vitamin E in Sunflower oil also helps reduce inflammation of the skin.
In soap making, Sunflower Oil adds higher conditioning properties to the soap. Plus, this oil adds creamy lather and a silky feel to soap.
Shea Butter is well known for its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. Its unique compounds, including vitamins A and E, help protect the skin from environmental damage.IT is also gentle enough for everyone to use. It is even suitable for babies’ sensitive skin and for people who suffer from conditions like eczema. In soap making, Shea butter makes bar creamier with a more moisturized feel. Too much shea butter can make the soap sticky and reduce lather. With sensitive skin, reduced lather can be a good thing, so shea butter can be a real assistant, but in the end this has to be in balance with the rest of the soap.
We exclusively use organic, sustainable palm oil for the reasons of deforestation in tropical regions. Our organic palm oil is farmed organically thus not polluting the land.
One word... Lather. Coconut adds to hardness and creates "big bubbles" in soap. A little goes a long way, too much can be "too effective".The health benefits of coconut oil for skin are amazing; the oil possesses antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties, so it can help tackle many kinds of skin issues.
Hemp oil is produced by pressing hempseed and releasing the oil, which is increasingly used in body and skincare products for its rich nourishment. We use unrefined hemp oil to avoid chemical contamination possible in the refining process. It also gives a nice natural aroma to the soap.Packed with powerful proteins and minerals hemp oil helps those suffering from eczema and its regenerative properties can contribute to a more youthful, plumped-up complexion.
All of the activated charcoal that we use in our products is produces from sustainably grown hardwood trees, which are one of the United States most plentiful and sustainable resources. Unlike other charcoal sources, which can include recycled pallets and other unsustainable materials, all of our charcoal is made under the oversight of a reputable, nationwide forest preservation program. No old growth trees are ever used to produce our charcoal.
